So, this past Tuesday, March 13th marked the 3-month birthday of my blog! Yaaasss! It’s only been 3 months, but baby! Things are quickly progressing. Thanks to you guys, in 3 months I’ve been able to connect with over 2,600 people around the world, steadily build a community of like-minded budding entrepreneurs and go-getters, be inspired by you all, and enjoy the things your creating and doing because of the person you’re becoming. To be honest, creating a blog to share my experiences and things that I’m learning throughout my journey isn’t something that I had planned. I knew I had a thing for words. I enjoy scanning through the dictionary for new words, and reading different types of books, but a writer? Not in my wildest dreams. A song writer? Possibly, but a blogger? *Smh* Nah! Thank you for what you’ve turned this blog into. Let me tell you why I even started this…
Prior to the arrival of my second daughter my eldest was on a pretty solid routine. After giving birth I was a mess and needed some motivation to balance my ambition with my responsibilities (Read my first blog here). I was getting frustrated with myself because I felt like I didn’t have enough time in the day to get the ball rolling for a business idea I had. Truth is, I had POOR TIME MANAGEMENT skills. Yes, I was running on little to no sleep and having 2 kids was a HUGE difference from taking care of one, but I could’ve had an easier transition.
Out of being hopeful and looking for some inspiration I went online to find “Mompreneurs” that were killing it, so I could glean from their wisdom and learn how to be a boss mom. I found nothing that could sustain me. After searching far and wide on the internet I thought, “I can’t be the only boss mom, on parental leave looking for practical life management tools right now!” Instead of crying about the lack of support online, within seconds I started creating my blog. I did no research, consulted NO ONE, and didn’t know anything about web design or blogging. I just went for it.
Starting this blog wasn’t only a way for me to help and connect with other mompreneur’s. It allowed me to connect with go-getters and entrepreneur’s and people who just wanted a push in the right direction. This blog provided a new community of people that wanted to challenge each other and become better versions of themselves. Achieving goals is great, but who are we becoming? How is our character improving? How is our heart doing? Are we chasing goals with the right motives? Or are we becoming too focused on ourselves and what we want? This blog became an open place for me to share my goals without judgement in hopes to inspire you.
Finally, my last reason for starting this blog is because I believe in living completely free from outside influences. We can never allow another person’s perception of us to dictate what we do and who we become. I believe in living truly free from trying to impress others or trying to prove ourselves. Starting a blog was my way of saying to myself “get
out of your own way Theresa. You are the only hindrance to your progress. Freely
decide and do what you want.”
I guarantee you, most people that know me personally
probably have never dreamed of me being a writer (except my husband, he caught the vision before I did haha!), but now people get excited to read my posts. Don’t limit yourself and never under estimate what your capable of. Thanks again for being apart of this community! I love running with you guys.
Until next time,
Xoxo!

I think it's awesome that you decided to blog to do something for yourself. It's really important that you keep something that's just for you especially once you become a mom. It's about not losing who you are. Happy 3 months of blogging!
You got it. I refuse to lose my mission because I'm a mom. All of my roles work together, not against each other.
So glad you started blogging! It's important to follow your passions. I just started 2 months ago and it's so rewarding!

Congratulations on your first three months of blogging! I know what you mean when you talk about time management. I struggle with it as well, with a full time job and a blog on the side.
that's a great story! I started blogging so long ago (2005) back then blogging wasn't a business, it was a way to be really indipendent. I'm glad you you also don't let yourself influence by others, good luck!
