Last month we talked about believing in yourself even when nobody else does, discovering what makes you unique, and daring to walk an uncommon path to produce the uncommon life of your dreams. These topics weren’t just good idea’s that I wanted to write about, they were personal. You might read my blogs or follow me on social media and think “this girl will definitely acheive all of her goals, she has it all together, she’s done well for herself, she is on her way to greatness…” but to tell you the truth, I’ve been exactly where many of you are today. I know what it feels like to want to give up on a goal that you’ve held onto for years.
I used to thoroughly plan out my goals, start executing it and then get distracted by the lack of supportive people around me or become discouraged by my personal lack of progress if I didn’t see results within a specific amount of time. I was so committed, enthusiastic, and passionate about getting the end result, but I didn’t know what I was doing.
I didn’t understand some of the basic laws and principles related to goal achievement. I didn’t know that my success can be guaranteed if I learn and apply things that successful people in my industry do. The simple fact is that I didn’t know what I didn’t know and this is a common issue for many goal-getters with big dreams.
They work their butt off trying to achieve a goal with the tools that they have (which is good) and after a while of being stuck in the same position or seeing minimal results they begin to feel discouraged, angry, jealous, bitter, or hopeless.
If you get stuck without a clear solution to move your goals forward take a break and invest in yourself. Try to identify your specific roadblocks and learn about the various solutions for that problem. Here’s an example, if you run a service based business and you’re having a hard time attracting clients on a regular basis instead of getting stressed and feeling like a failure, take a break and examine which part of your lead generation funnel isn’t working (is it your targeting, lead page, marketing, etc). Once you identify the main problem devote your time to finding solutions. Talk to your colleagues, read books on the topic, learn as much as you can and then apply the new information you’ve learned. Keep what works and find ways to improve what isn’t.

Now before you get lost in your emotions and start doubting if you will get results let me tell you that this is not for an elite, special group of people. Success in goal achievement is for EVERYONE! You don’t need to have experience, know the right people, or be wealthy. All you need is to be committed to your processs.
Don’t quit when things get hard, don’t stop when everyone you talk to tells you “you’re product/service is great, but it’s not what I need right now”, don’t get discouraged when big brands don’t want to sponsor your event or work with you as a brand ambassor. Trust me, in some seasons you will hear more “no’s” than “yes”, you will feel like you’re pursuing the wrong goal and be tempted to let it all go, but the truth is you need to keep going.
My friend, I write these blogs not only to inspire and motivate you, but also to remind you that no matter how big your goals are, they are 100% attainable. If you don’t give up but instead start working on yourself, your life will change. After a few weeks of applying these nuggets I’m going to give you throughout this month for FREE you will see HUGE results in a short amount of time even if you struggle with fear, self-confidence, self-discipline and don’t have any goal planning experience.
You may be wondering why I’m doing this? Lol well, I’m passionate about seeing you succeed! I want you to achieve your goals as much as I want to achieve mine! I know that you are full of potential and you have amazing God-given ideas and dreams floating around in your mind, but you may not know where to start, or you may just need to work on your mindset and personal beliefs, or you may need to reinvent yourself. No matter what your core issue is I know that if you’re open to investing in yourself you will go from being a big dreamer who is passionate about your goals to becoming a high achiever who crushes your goals one step at a time!
I’m going to warn you right now, sometimes working towards your goal hurts because you’re not ready to deal with the truth. You’re not ready to admit that you don’t know what you’re doing, you need help, or the strategy that you put so much money into is not working. Instead of delaying your progress by feeling offended process the offense or whatever emotion your feeling and press on. Stay focused on your goal, not your thoughts, personal preferences, or feelings. When you do this you allow the truth to set you free.
This month I’m going to challenge you to take things up to the next level, do things you only thought about doing, and begin stepping into your destiny. I believe in you, I know you believe in yourself, so let’s get the ball rolling on your goals shall we? Until next time, xo!
